A: If your current hosting provider can no longer answer the needs of your web site, or when you face continual network downtime, or if you are made to wait for hours for the client support team to get back to you, it might be a good idea to change your provider, i.e. to move all the files for your websites together with your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At Interactive World, we understand that this can be hard and time–consuming. This is the reason why we’ll perform all that for you at no cost!Our expert technical staff will move your website content from your present web hosting provider to us. Our techs have got a lot of experience with website migration and can handle anything – from a typical WordPress blog or Joomla^™ CMS–powered website, to a very elaborate, custom–made web app.

A: There are plenty of factors to take into account – the total number of files, the physical size of the database, the complexity of the website itself and the present workload of our web site migration experts, etc. That being said, we do our best to accomplish all website migrations within a 48–hour time period. Smaller–sized web sites are migrated faster – typically in less than 24 hours.

A: We do not collect any information that is personal. We’ll need, though, the login info for your old hosting account and the name of the web site that you wish to transfer.

A: In order for us to start the transfer of your hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to share practically the same info you have provided to your current web hosting provider. We’ve also got a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which specifies how sensitive data is handled.

A: While we transfer your website, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your former hosting provider. Once the migration is over, we’ll make sure that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your web content is not jeopardized prior to telling you that the transfer is done. Then we’ll tell you how to move the domain name to your hosting account with us and how to edit your DNS settings.

A: While we transfer your web content, your hosting provider won’t be aware of the transfer at all. We won’t contact them in any way.

A: We support all Linux–powered web hosting platforms. Fundamentally, if we can access your Control Panel, we’ll be able to transfer your website.The only platforms that we don’t support are closed–source website management platforms like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
